Deeply rooted. Free spirited.

Finca Angú
Universe

Finca Angú was born in Ginestar, in the Ribera d’Ebre region, near l’Illa along the banks of the Ebro River.

A venture rooted in viticulture that connects deeply with the landscape and the people who bring it to life.

Much like the kite—the bird of prey that travels from afar and recognizes this horizon as home—this project was born free, giving itself to this land without intertia or bias to connect with its purest truth.

The deeper we venture into this universe, the more aware we become of what already dwells here: a heritage of resilience and a wise, steadfast commitment that respects the rhythms of nature.

Knowledge. Experience. Product. Tradition. Talent.

We want to give visibility to this reality, honor those who have worked the land for generations, and help protect a legacy that is the living soul of this region. We reaffirm our purpose by preserving its essence.

First, put down roots. Then, contribute.

And from there, grow.

The Kite's
Gaze

As a migratory bird, the kite understands the importance of traveling far without losing the connection to its surroundings.

It soars above the fields, observes from a different perspective, and relies on the wind to move with grace and ease.

This harmony between deep roots and fluid movement inspires Finca Angú: a project born of a specific place—its landscape, its rhythms, its wisdom, and its possibilities—and which seeks to highlight and elevate what is already here.

There are people, products, and stories that deserve to reach further. For this reason, Finca Angú aims to help what originates here connect with new audiences, markets, and opportunities, all while staying true to its identity.

In order to achieve this, we seek to collaborate with professionals and producers who share a common vision. We want to create connections, facilitate meaningful encounters, and open doors.

To bring visibility to products and wisdom that still have places to reach beyond these borders. To know our roots. To respect the land. To look beyond.

Our Inaugural Wine

Finca Angú is a vibrant young white wine—a single-varietal Macabeo crafted from our 20-plus-year-old vines, sheltered by the unique river island landscape and the breezes of the Ribera. Here, traditional bush-trained vines (cultivo en vaso) sink their roots deep into an alluvial soil of gravel and rounded river pebbles, imparting striking freshness and mineral tension to the grapes.

Our viticulture is rooted in observation and harmony with the environment, caring for both the vine and soil to guide their natural life cycle. Nature leads the way: the Ebro teaches us to flow, while the vineyard reminds us to honor time’s natural pace. From this timeless stewardship emerges an inaugural edition of just 1,000 hand-selected, hand-harvested bottles.

In the cellar, the fruit takes center stage. Patient winemaking and aging on fine lees with delicate bâtonnage gently envelop the wine, bestowing body and depth while keeping vibrant freshness at its core.

A Mediterranean white—vibrant, balanced, and an authentic reflection of this corner of the world. Within it dwells Angú, an ancient soul: a timeless force inviting us to let go, belong to the whole, connect with the essential, and feel the absolute.

The Terroir

Our vines are deeply rooted in this place.

Over time, a relationship takes shape between the plant, the soil, the climate, and the hands that tend it.

The land sets the conditions.

The vine interprets them.

In Ginestar, along the banks of the Ebro, l’Illa offers singular conditions for growing vines.

The riverside landscape, the Mediterranean climate, the alluvial soils, the abundant light, and the temperature contrasts favor the cultivation of Macabeo, achieving an ideal balance between ripeness and crisp freshness.

The river is a constant presence that accompanies and defines an identity expressed in every vineyard and, ultimately, in the wine itself.

Exposure, orientation, and the unique traits of each plot matter just as much. Understanding them allows us to grasp how each vineyard responds and what makes it distinct.

One ecosystem.

One grape variety.

One way of cultivating it.

Our Commitment

CONSCIOUS VITICULTURE

Viticulture begins by listening to the land. Finca Angú joins a way of farming passed down through generations and bound to this place, learning from those who have spent a lifetime in the fields.

A measured approach: maintaining cover crops, nurturing soil life, and stripping away the unnecessary to preserve its balance.

Because what we do today determines what we can continue doing tomorrow.

Observe. Understand. Guide.

BIODIVERSITY & TRADITION

Viticulture does not exist in isolation. It is part of an ecosystem and an agricultural culture deeply tied to the land.

Nurturing biodiversity means preserving the balance between the vine, the soil, and everything that surrounds them.

Bush-trained vine training is part of this Mediterranean tradition. An age-old practice adapted to this region, which we preserve because it continues to make sense.

Farming is also about preserving a way of doing things.

MACABEO & EVOLUTION

Finca Angú stems from a single grape variety: Macabeo, deeply rooted in Catalonia and particularly meaningful within the Tarragona D.O..

Choosing Macabeo is embracing of a grape capable of expressing a true sense of place—respecting its character and allowing it to shine without masking or manipulation.

Tradition teaches us what works. Evolution allows us to move forward without losing what we have learned.

Hold onto the essential.

Keep exploring.

CARE & CLOSENESS

Care begins in the field. We harvest by hand to select the finest fruit and preserve the health of the vine on its journey to the cellar.

Finca Angú is committed to a small-batch production, allowing us to be present at every stage and collaborate closely with the professionals and craftspeople connected to our winemaking process.

Vineyard, cellar, artisans, and partners form a single shared ecosystem.

Because proximity is not merely a matter of distance.

It is a way of being, and a way to inspire progress.

The Winery

To add without intruding.

To contribute without replacing.

To propel without uprooting.

To craft Angú, we collaborate with Molí de Rué in Vinebre, within the Ribera d’Ebre region. At the helm is winemaker Noemí Poquet, the fourth generation of a family tied to both the winery and the olive oil mill.

Trained in Enology at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Noemí continues a history of over a hundred years of winemaking and tradition, recognized with awards and distinctions within the D.O. Tarragona and nationwide.

With her, we share a way of understanding wine: respect for the authenticity, attention to inherited knowledge and its natural rhythms, and excellence rooted in simplicity.

This collaboration stems from trust and a shared commitment: putting knowledge at the service of the raw material and driving a project forward without losing sight of its origin.

Noemí and her winery’s expertise meet Finca Angú’s viticulture and the commitment to placing it at the center.

Two perspectives coming together to shape a wine born here and projected from here.
